"Centaur Tower Landscape" by Remedios Varo depicts surreal architectural structures with human-like figures engaging in mysterious activities, reflecting her signature blend of mysticism and surrealism. Varo's intricate use of geometry and space evokes a sense of otherworldly introspection and fantastical exploration.

AMSTERDAM REVIEW

Henry Ossawa Tanner’s The Angel of Death Following Two Lovers, n.d.
— in memory of J. H. Prynne, whose death occurred on the day of this writing, and whose words acrost the threshold of what follows
Timelike and blind, I know you
delirium. As light knows its own lisp is what
cools the water’s surface. So you look forward
at this path with confidence. Fearless rambler, no rue in
crossing the yellow ochre and viridian blended in clover;
with time being yours, while mine is the eyeless
head turning backwards, noting the shadow
in my fear of love is also my love for sfumato, my
arms covered in bumps and lampblackwords.

The ship on your lips
steadies itself for the journey
and the bird rises like a wine-bruise
also; the hum of a manganese violet
from a distant orchard. I read the like-minded
frenzy of purple hues upon your cloak. From here
to darker, I know the feel of green
fields moving faster. Dewless
we go into the darkest shallows.

The university held an “AI support” session for instructors today and it is not too surprising to see those old lower-case c conservative dynamics shaping up. First, just about everyone who attended was maxed out in their opposition. The job of the admins seemed mostly to be to absorb the anger.

This is a red state, and red states thrive on sadism. This probably means that they’re selling off more land for landfills or bringing some AI generator here. Alabama loves to poison its future. Sometimes I can’t believe how evil this state govt can be

Agree. But also have to add that the slur against Ancient Greece conducted by these imbeciles of the branded kegstand has been a general negative for culture. There is nothing actually “Greek“ about sororities and fraternities except their branding

THE WIFE
My husband sucks her tits.
He walks into the night, her Roma, his being alive.
Toward that outer love. I wait in the hotel until four. I lurch from the bed
talking to myself, watch my face in the mirror.
I change my eyes, making them darker.
Take it easy, I say. It is a long time to wait in, this order of reality. My presence stings.
I grow specific without consequence.

The Cornell rape case owes so much to the self-styled “Greek system” which uses exclusivity as a prerogative to take whatever one wants among the humans who believe they deserve it and are entitled to it. Please spare me the #notallfratboys twaddle ✌️
