When I posted something on X after a break someone immediately called me a race traitor. Posts about ancient history inevitably end up in race science territory. So I’m sorry, but I wouldn’t call that a friendly place. Is there an audience? Yes. I don’t want to sift through shit to talk to people.

A good antidote to imposter syndrome is looking at the comments of other people using the same tools you are using. I saw a guy complain that a state of the art AI tool was unable to "download a video from a site" and that just drove home that people who didn't have a clue, continue to not have one.

We've only got enough nukes to get 10% of towns over 10k people, it's weird to think about what that would look like. Obviously it would be a huge difference, and billions of lives lost, but realistically there'd be quite a few places where the impact is less than total annihilation.

It's kind of interesting how people didn't understand germ theory in the 1800s, and they still don't. People seem to have this idea of "doctors didn't wash their hands" but they did, they washed them with water and soap until they looked clean. That's what made germ theory so hard to accept.
