Is it just me, or, did the last 4 or 5 shows or so totally suck rocks?
The shows this season have been pretty poor at best anyways, but god, ever
since "Bart Gets an Elephant" I'm having a hard time justifying the purchase
of blank VHS tapes just to tape this show.
I'm mean, they've been terrible. IMO, the Simpson's writers have absolutely
lost ALL originality and imagination that they ever once had, and, once
again IMO, they should call it QUITS now while they could still go out with
some form of dignity.

Come on, you all must have noticed recently the plots have been TOTALLY
weak, the jokes totally predictable and unfunny, characters acting out of
character, etc. I mean, did you notice lately that ANYWHERE anyone goes in
the show, the same people are there? I mean, how is that funny? Homer
teaches a class, and guess who's in it. The same characters that are
anywhere anyone goes, no matter how unlikely it would be that they are there.
Lenny teaches a calss, Hans Moleman teaches a class, yeah right. I mean,
get some imagination.

Well, there's a lot more I can bitch about but if you agree at all with me
then you already know what the problems are. Why am I posting this message
you ask? Well, as I began, I just want to know if it's 'just me' or if
other people have been noticing this. I'm curious to know.

I'm not just trying to get people mad at me, or whatever - but isn't the
simpsons losing it? The first 4-5 seasons were literal genius, to a
degree that i didn't even think was possible, given the general
intelligence level of our country (see: ricky lake). But, it seems that
now the Sunday epsisodes of the simpsons are not much better than any
other show on TV. I think the comparison between the afternoon ones and
the Sunday ones is pretty shocking. THe Sunday ones are basically full
of either formula-simpsons jokes, or crappy normal-sitcom jokes (ala,
Martin/Wings/Family Matters). If they stop making episodes right now
then it will go down as the funniest TV show of all time - probably the
funniest thing that this society has ever produced in any medium... but,
if they keep going like this then it will be like Happy Days after Richy
left.

Tested out the new GPT Image 2, with a prompt to make a map of Europe in 1987. It did not too badly apart from weird "internal borders" all over the western bloc, a non-existent colour in the legend and inexplicably labeling Ireland, Cyprus and Switzerland as non-capitalist countries.
