Castlevania: Symphony of the Night was out 29 years ago (1997)!🌙 With series and genre-defining gameplay, explore Dracula's Castle inside, outside, and upside-down... Honestly, I can't see this game and NOT think of the A+ soundtrack. Reviews + Media: www.rpgfan.com/game/castlev...

Steelbooks kinda suck for discs because I always fear I'm gonna chip them when taking a disc out. Weirdly enough Nintendo's game cards actually work best with them

If you're bitching about resomolutions and framerates in the Switch version of Belmont's Curse you definitely haven't dealt with slowdown in Symphony of the Night or not having a backlit GBA in Circle of the Moon.

you're not sticking it to JKR by participating in the draco trend, the only way to do that is to not engage with her crap at all. also let's like. not use misogynist incel terminology? death of the author only works when the author is not actively harming people (like when they're actually dead).

They should do a Simpsons where Homer gets beaten up and ziptied by the IDF in front of his family lol Oh fuck wait that already happened 16 years ago:

Still from "The Greatest Story Ever D'Ohed," more properly titled "The Simpsons Go to the Zionist Entity" -- Homer is ziptied by the IDF at the airport and Marge says to him, "Homie, just tell them what they want to hear"

I think some Dems might sneak by in a wave year election running these anti-trans ads that abandon an entire section of the population, but they won't be able to outrun it with Democratic voters longterm. The more time goes on, the more likely they are to know a trans person. A permanent duncecap.

"Screen-based 2D games are a dead-end; there is simply no comparison to an immersive 3D experience." The death of 2D games is on the horizon, predicts EDGE magazine in December 1993 - a common feeling at the time as FMV, texture-mapped polygonal 3D, and VR became the hot new tech.

The future of the videogame is pretty straightforward.

There are two routes that the videogame can take: 2D images dragged from ROM or CD; and the 3D environment generated in real time.
While the 2D route encompasses real 24bit images, full-motion video, bluescreen, high-definition rendered graphics and so on, you can only explore what is on the disc; you can only visit the places that the artist or camera has visited before you.

3D environments are still visualised in a more basic fashion, but once the world and its contents have been described mathematically, the player can go anywhere he or she wants; there are an infinite number of views to be had.

As the technology advances, so those basic vector graphics give way to polygons with light sourced shading, texture mapping, transparency and so on. And the ultimate experience is to actually wander around that virtual world and interact with it in three dimensions, using stereo eyephones to see the world and motion sensors to track your position.
Screen-based 2D games are a dead end; there is simply no comparison to an immersive 3D experience. It's the difference between being the passenger in a car and actually driving it.

Hey, y'all. "Innocent until proven guilty" is a term intended for the court system, where a defendant isn't guilty 'til a trial finds them to be so. It doesn't mean that you don't use your own fucking common sense & good judgment to stay away from bad people. You're not imprisoning them. Thanks.
