In Broadview 6 case, Judge Perry suggested the government was being "truthy" in their statements about directions they had from Main DOJ. 😂
Is it your position that statement is true, or is it your position that statement is truthy because there are privileged communications of this nature? MR. WHALEN: Our position is that is true when tied back to the opening of the paragraph where it says, no one -- excuse me -- There was no communications about influence or interference by anyone outside the USAO. And so this statement is true as it relates to precharging decisions, Your Honor. THE COURT: But possibly untrue as it relates to things that happened after the decision was made?

1) Putin doesn't have diesel to spare. 2) Diesel is cover for lifting sanctions. 3) Putin's statement sounds like he's offering an Iran escape hatch, which I've been predicting. 4) Half of the MASSIVE bribes Putin is offering now don't exist. 5) But he does mention security coop -- Kash.

The people around Trump want to ban abortion pills, have been trying for years, and will use whatever means they can. The current plan is for RFK Jr to declare them unsafe. Trump's new press secretary previewed this yesterday when she said they used the "same chemicals" as Hitler's gas chambers. 1/

I agree that this is a BFD. But I think it gives Trump too much agency. This was baked in for quite some time and I expect Lindsey Graham's death is what accelerated it. Putin is no doubt offering Trump a way out of his Iran disaster, which ALWAYS required scapegoating Ukraine.

Here's what Trump judge Gary Brown said in a filing ON MONDAY about Brenan Cuni, who almost shot a kid in NYC. storage.courtlistener.com/recap/gov.us...
After the Court required a further submission to explain this incongruity,
respondents submitted an affidavit from Brenden Cuni, a Supervisory Detention and
Deportation Officer with ICE, who was responsible for conducting the background
searches. DE 20-7. Cuni was notified “some time before 5:50 PM” that “Petitioner was detained.” Id. ¶3. He searched five separate federal databases, all of which “yielded
negative results.” Id. ¶5 (emphasis added). Cuni then “issued and signed the I-200,
Warrant of Arrest, and checked off the boxes relating to ‘biometric confirmation of the
subject’s identity and a records check of federal databases . . . .’” Id. Of course, since the
records checks were negative, it was undeniably false, though represented as true in the
warrant, that “biometric confirmation [and] records check of federal databases
affirmatively indicate” that the petitioner lacked immigration status. DE 7-1. Cuni
explains that ICE then processed the petitioner, and in so doing, entered his data into
those various databases. After processing (and after the warrant was signed and
executed), Cuni ordered another officer to run “a second records check of the electronic
federal databases, which then yielded positive results . . . because Petitioner’s information
was now part of the system.” DE 20-7 ¶7 (emphasis added).

Can someone explain this to me in simple terms? You have AI company experts saying "We expect to cause some kind of catastrophe next year." Whatever happened to Lloyds of London? Do these Masters of the Universe have insurance? www.axios.com/2026/10/09/a...
What we're watching: Many AI industry insiders told Axios they believe a major event will occur in the next six to 12 months.

Even with Democrats in control of the House and Senate, the companies see fractured politics as the norm, including within the Democratic Party.
Some of the most heavy-handed Democratic proposals include banning superintelligence or pausing advanced AI development.
Others have bipartisan support and even some industry buy-in, including a required kill switch on advanced AI. But experts have questioned the viability of trying to turn off all AI systems.
The bottom line: In a real crisis, Washington can set partisan differences aside. One Democratic aide pointed to cooperation during COVID and the 2008 financial crisis.

WHOLE WOMAN’S HEALTH ALLIANCE, et al.,

UNITED STATES FOOD AND DRUG ADMINISTRATION, et al.,
Defendants.
Case No. 3:23-cv-00019-RSB

PLAINTIFFS’ REPLY MEMORANDUM IN FURTHER SUPPORT OF
RETAINING JURISDICTION PENDING REMAND TO FDA

Defendants do not dispute that this Court has the authority to retain jurisdiction over this case pending the completion of FDA’s mifepristone review. See ECF Doc. 101 at 4–5 (citing cases). Nor do they dispute that it would be improper for FDA to disregard the statutory factors that should guide its mifepristone review in favor of political considerations. Instead, **Defendants disparage Plaintiffs’ concern about political interference with FDA’s review as “unfounded speculation.”** ECF Doc. 102 at 4. **Far from it — Plaintiffs have the receipts.**
Last week, in response to a FOIA request, Plaintiffs’ counsel received a production of FDA documents that included **a September 3, 2025 email from an “eop.gov” email address asking FDA and HHS for “a briefing on the status of the FDA [mifepristone] study design and proposed timelines.” Exhibit A. “EOP” stands for “Executive Office of the President” and “eop.gov” is the email address for the White House.** An HHS employee agreed the agencies would “do our best to accommodate.” Id. This document confirms that the threat of political interference with FDA’s review of the scientific evidence is very real. This Court should exercise its authority to retain...

he told me he was called to one domestic violence incident where he gave a man a cigarette to calm him down and avoid a violent encounter. In another tale, Leaf had successfully proven that a young woman’s accusation of domestic violence was untrue. The accused man avoided arrest.
“Did you arrest the woman?” I asked.
