If they actually cared about children the way they claim to, there’d be this much outrage for what’s happening to children being gunned down in school, the horror happening in Gaza and the terrorizing of immigrant families. Pay attention to who they think deserves compassion.

2003 antiwar protests were the largest in US history. And that was after 9/11, under a popular president, and while most people believed the WMDs lie. Completely different conditions today. I believe the antiwar movement will be big. And I believe it will win.

🧵 To make this more concrete: don't assume Trump himself knows what he is going to do next in in the Israel-Iran conflict. He definitely doesn't want to get the US involved in a major war in the Middle East (that much he's been clear on). But he loves to bomb and look tough. 1/

This is a very sobering reminder of why the U.S. president's words matter, why normal administrations of both parties carefully vet those words, why presidential statements are often bland or overworked, and why Trump's posting himself on an insecure phone with no staff work is extremely dangerous.

APSA Statement on the Rights of International Scholars
The American Political Science Association (APSA) is deeply disturbed by recent violations of the basic rights of international scholars in the United States. Over the past few weeks, there have been several reported instances of international students and scholars, legally residing and studying in the U.S., having their legal status threatened or rescinded by U.S. immigration officials. Students have been targeted through the revocation of green cards and visas, arrests, and in some cases, deportation.

1/🧵 Judges across ideological lines are ruling against Trump at strikingly similar rates (84% liberal, 86% centrist, 82% conservative). This isn't partisan opposition to Trump—it's the judiciary functioning as intended by cutting across partisan lines to uphold the Constitution.
Title: Both Liberal and Conservative Judges Rule Against Trump
Description: A scatter plot showing the rulings of judges against or in favor of Trump, categorized by ideology using the DIME score. The x-axis represents Judge Ideology (DIME Score), ranging from liberal (-1) to conservative (1), and the y-axis represents the case outcome (against or for Trump).
	•	Blue dots represent liberal judges, purple dots represent moderate judges, and red dots represent conservative judges.
	•	Some judges are labeled, including Rudolph Contreras, Lauren King, John Coughenour, and James Emanuel Boasberg on the liberal to moderate side, and Carl Nichols, Richard J. Leon, and Joseph N. Laplante on the conservative side.
	•	A note mentions that Boasberg, though slightly right-leaning, was initially appointed by George W. Bush.
	•	The visualization suggests that judges from both ideological backgrounds ruled against Trump.
