I usually design my business cards to be conversation-starters. But at after too many endless awkward discussions at recent events, I realized I needed a new type of card. The conversation-ender.

A stack of business cards reads in English and Korean: Generative AI is unethical, annoying, and anti-art. Anything it touches will fail, and be a mark of shame on human history. I do not wish to discuss this further.

It's world octopus day! Here is a one I saw while scuba diving this summer in the Gulf of California, Mexico (aka Sea of Cortez aka Vermilion Sea). This one was very chill and not at all bothered by me watching them. I love it when they are out in the daytime!

Blue-ringed octopuses (genus Hapalochlaena) are the only cephalopod whose venomous bite is potent enough to kill a human. However, they are docile and won't bite unless provoked or hunting. So keep your distance and don't make them feel threatened or be a crustacean and you'll be safe. #OCTOtober

A Greater Blue-ringed Octopus (Hapalochlaena lunulata) swimming against a black background. Its mantle is relatively thin and the tip gets much thinner. The end of the mantle is out of focus. The octopus is looking at the camera, and it appears to be moving to the upper right, as most of its arms are trailing in that direction. One arms is going back and another is in front of its face and curving around. The arms have two rows of suckers that are offset. The octopus is yellow with many blue iridescent rings.

Pleased to report
