To help get into the Fall and not too far away Halloween, an orb web weaver in the backyard. A very impressive web, no sign of breakfast stuck in the web. 1- closeup of the underside 2- best I could do getting the web, some dew would have helped 3- flying spider? #arachnids

It’s been a while since we’ve seen 4 bunnies in the yard at the same time, I wondered if one had gone elsewhere. 1- a late arrival 2- two bunnies joining us for dinner including Clipper on the left 3- an older bunny that exited the dinner bowls when Clipper showed up Desert cottontail rabbits 🐇

Tried a super cheap camera (2nd hand) for all night nightlapse, composite photo 999 photos w/internal intervalometer. Good results, new moon made my guess at exposure a bit bright. Set it up in afternoon & left it to its own devices, should've lowered the ISO more. Clouds & rain expected this week.

This is a composite photo of 999 individual photos so we see the apparent movement of the stars in star trails arcing over the mountain, they have different colors depending on their temperatures. Clouds came in and we see some in the photo, sometimes obscuring the stars. The antennas on Cheyenne Mountain are seen along with their lights and we see car lights trails going up and down the mountain to the antennas/buildings on the summit. This will be a meteor watching camera during good weather and clear skies at night.

Almost 3 o’clock (the weather station readout does not believe in Daylight Saving Time) , sensor outside says 97°f. Thankfully the humidity is low so ‘only’ feels like 94°. ‘indoor’ sensor is also outside. I’m on the patio in front of a swap cooler. No roadrunner kidlets venturing out in the heat.
