I’m genuinely worried that he weakened her civil case with this statement out of petty fury that he’s rightfully getting heat for not pressing charges against rapists. He clearly isn’t interested in seeing her succeed and he basically called her a liar—a huge gift to the civil defense

This has been going on for All Time. Colleges and Universities have politely asked rapists to mildly atone. (Very rarely this includes expulsion.) That is the end of the story even though what they did is a crime that should be prosecuted. It was even true at my Seven Sisters college, Vassar. (1/2)
