SNAP funding changes kick in Thursday. Here's what they mean for Massachusetts
Beginning Oct. 1, the amount of money states get from the federal government to run SNAP is getting sliced in half, due to changes made by the One Big Beautiful Bill Act. Advocates in Massachusetts say it puts "an extra financial burden on the state at a time when that agency that administers the program here is already understaffed."

"What? Filing a lawsuit with the Supreme Court?" It's rare. But when states are bitch slapping each other, that's how it gets sorted. Abortion-ban states are really angry that abortion-friendly states won't extradite doctors providing care to patients in the ban states. Shit just got real.

i worry that men think being A Good Guy is dramatically and heroically intervening on behalf of an endangered woman and then being publicly rewarded on a grand scale when actually being A Good Guy is just usually saying, “hey man that’s not funny” or “wow that’s fucked up” and there is no reward

Buying fast food for my family, it’s over $50, which feels like a lot. Not unreasonable from the restaurant, but like going out to dinner, not grabbing something cheap. So I looked up fast food prices, and they’ve risen faster than inflation. Add that to the why people say stuff’s expensive list.
