This is why I am able to see so many concerts. I sparingly get the $200 Ticketmaster arena acts. It's mostly indie folk, rock, metal, typically $30-50, and sometimes I go 60-100. I prefer seeing bands in small clubs anyway!

I feel a lot less pressure about blogging now that I've separated my book blog from any author content. I may still do some kind of blog or newsletter to keep me on track with writing when I do it again, and I'd like to do a music blog also. It's just too hard to do it all in one umbrella.

I got out of journalism because it couldn't give me the quality of life I wanted, and I had bad managers. That doesn't mean I think it should die as a profession and all journalists should quit and work soul-sucking office jobs and do it on the side for fun. Journalists deserve a living wage!

I'm a legal assistant in natural resources law and Erin Brokavich totally glamorized this area of law. It's much more tedious and less "little guy saving the world" than it was portrayed. They did get the voluminous amounts of paper right though.

I think men have a lot more to work to do than performative statements, but there is a particular wave of moral purity feminism (that I think includes terfs) that thinks the existence of a penis is by itself sexual assault... but it is weird to me because this belief still centers men...
