Normally my default reaction to a live-action movie of a classic cartoon TV series would be largely pessimistic, but I actually think Jim Carrey would CRUSH IT as George Jetson in a live-action Jetsons movie. www.ign.com/articles/jim...

Jim Carrey in Talks to Star in The Jetsons Live-Action Movie - IGN

Jim Carrey is reportedly in talks to star in Warner Bros.’ live-action movie adaptation of the 1960s animated TV series The Jetsons, which Jurassic World’s Colin Trevorrow is in line to direct.

He would probably be very good, but the problem I see is that just because something old was great, it doesn't actually follow that it needs a remake, a reboot or a live action film version. Almost every time something is remade, it is terrible. Please just leave it alone.

Are they gonna cast a 63 year old actress as Jane, his wife? Or are we going to get a Jane that's young enough to be his daughter, which will go uncommented upon in the narrative so that Hollywood can continue to give aging male actors opportunities it rarely provides to actresses of the same age?
