John Self @john-self.bsky.social · 30/05/2026Irresistible charity shop find. A box of the Penguin 60s series from 1995 - short stories and essays and bits and bobs to mark 60 years of Penguin Books. They were 60p each! There was also a box of classics. But! There are only 55 here. So my task is to identify and acquire the missing. 3722515 0

Jimmy Dean @jamesdean278.bsky.social · 30/05/2026I just got home and checked. All the original ones but also these two. The George Eliot might be my favourite free gift! 020 0
Jimmy Dean @jamesdean278.bsky.social · 30/05/2026These are/were amazing. I remember the Penguin rep bringing them to us as his first shop, to test the waters. We bought iirc 200 of each which was massive. There was no box set then so we made up and sold our own sets. I think I have them all still. 061 0
