Great to hear the PM say “We are going to be much prouder in standing up for our values and the rule of law” re foreign information warfare. I wonder if he or the Home Secretary might consider doing the same when it comes to masked vigilantes shutting down infrastructure and harassing the RNLI

Lots of talk of growth ahead of the Budget, as if it were a baroque puzzle. Our problem is basic. It's that we no longer support the things which facilitate growth: Europe, immigration, higher education, tax simplification, policy stability. These are all choices and could stop making them anytime.

I'm old enough to remember when the entire British right had a month long meltdown about "foreign interference" when Obama said something mildly disobliging about Brexit. The Trump administration pouring millions of dollars into far right political groups in the UK? Not a peep

#Brexit Join is more realistic than Rejoin, but the first necessary step is honesty. Too much to expect any of the perpetrators to admit Brexit has failed. Telling the electorate that they’ve been stitched up isn’t an obvious vote winner either. The UK needs some hard thinking.

We are now in a fundamentally different place from when we left the EU 10 years ago - Trump in America, Russian aggression and a predatory China. The EU was founded to prevent war and ensure peace in Europe. It is in our best security interests to be a member of the European Union.

1/2 Farage & the Reform leadership have managed a Janus faced strategy. At the leadership level the company is about money. Money for Farage and policies to create yet more money for the donors. The other face attracts mass support from poorly educated racists using anti-immigrant/Muslim propaganda.
