The thing I explain to people when I do IRL advocacy work is that trans rights are almost entirely an issue of autonomy, bodily and otherwise. There is no way to remove trans people from the country without also removing other types of autonomy. Abortion, divorce, privacy: it's all the same war.

This is the type of AI disaster scenario that I ACTUALLY worry about. (1) AI industry oversells the capabilities of its products to score fat government contracts. (2) govt puts the AI in charge of critical shit. (3) AI fucks up, because it has a nonzero error rate. (4) shit, now we’re at war.

My best advice to new comics ppl getting published for the 1st time is get an agent or lawyer to look at the contact and fight for better royalties & ownership of your work. THE 2ND is to not assume the publisher is doing things for you like submitting things to awards, copyrighting, marketing, etc.

He solved it, but openAI is trying to take credit for it, but got found out after admitting they trained on his notes

I think that this will make AI inference less reliant on massive datacenters when usable models can be run locally on your desktop with the capability of frontier models of a year ago. If the bubble finally pops, the massive overbuilding of datacenters will mean fire sales on hardware.
