Will heartily endorse this post as a former forensic engineer. Online shopping especially shipping direct from overseas is frequently not certified for use in Canada. That may sound like useless red tape, but it’s core safety matters that are engaged.

I'm not surprised at what you discovered. I buy all sort of things from Dollarama but never, ever, would I buy anything vaguely electrical. You just got to know there is a risk that it could be dodgy.

This is why I have a tiny bit of hope that this pipeline will never get built. It's put-up time for the oil producers but I doubt their shareholders will want to relinquish their beloved dividends.

“Expanding malfunctioning LNG Canada is like betting on a concrete canoe at a sailing regatta,” @richardbrooks.bsky.social Read more here: www.theenergymix.com/breaking-new... #BCpoli #CDNpoli #LNGCanada #LNG #BritishColumbia
The Globe notes that the American/Israeli war on Iran and the resulting disruption in the Strait of Hormuz have set off a scramble for short-term gas supplies. But analysts say a global oil and gas glut is still approaching fast, and will be in full flight by the time an expanded LNG terminal can be built and brought online. The Energy Mix has also learned that a new independent analysis, due for release later this week, will raise serious concerns about the viability of the Phase 2 project.

For months, news reports have also pointed to severe health and environmental concerns in Kitimat, with gas flaring at LNG Canada Phase 1 far exceeding what its provincial permits allow. Black smoke spewing from the site and broken equipment triggered a regulatory order April 21, and the continuing situation prompted an air quality expert from Texas to call out a “free pass” the company is receiving from B.C. regulators.

🚨📢 BIG update from Invivyd on the VYD2311 monoclonal antibody program.

As a reminder, VYD2321 is an intramuscular mAb designed as a vaccine alternative for the broad population, with an efficacy expectation of providing 70-90% protection against symptomatic COVID for 3 months, and 50% at the 1-year mark.

• The LIBERTY trial demonstrated safety and tolerability superior to mRNA vaccine (wow, big surprise)

• Importantly, co-administration with a COVID vaccine demonstrated no interference with vaccine-induced neutralizing titers

• Following a meeting with U.S. FDA, Invivyd will be submitting a BLA application for accelerated approval, based on safety and antiviral titers. This will be done while keeping clinical outcomes in the main DECLARATION trial blinded, so they can continue accumulating COVID events to ensure statistical power for the efficacy estimate of 70-90%

I don't know about that. Given that they do have some simplistic views of most things, I don't know if they truly understand how the country works at all and that ON/QC have a much bigger population than they do. It would be an interesting series of polling questions to find out.
