In Tacoma rn on a business trip. Have done that schlep to light rail b4 when traveling to Seattle; figured that, since it's called Seattle-Tacoma Airport & it's closer to Tacoma, we could take rail from the planes to Tacoma. Nope. Can take rail to Seattle, *then* rail to Tacoma, but...that's no help

But they're using renewables! a) they're not, they're all quietly pivoting to dedicated natural gas plants, built by their oil buddies, b) renewables should be used to power useful shit c) this makes it so that renewables don't displace fossil fuels, they just add to supply for increasing demand

IMO these numbers are unbelievably low, but the real numbers would cause people to just dismiss the report. Scale of magnitude: the number of inbound BART commuters, in cars, would fill every lane of every freeway from the toll plaza to Richmond, Walnut Creek, and Castro Valley.
