I think the prevalence of game wikis has been radically negative for game design. Too many games fully expect you to have the wiki open at all times. They just do not bother trying to signpost or explain shit for a player.

since people have been asking me about this all of the widgets I've made for Slime2 desktop simply insert user input (such as chat messages) as plain text. it does not allow those chat messages to create HTML, uses textContent to insert them instead of the dangerous innerHTML
