being trans is so much more than some pronouns and whether or not you take hormones or undergo surgery if someone identifies as trans, then that's it. so what if they don't socially transition, or change their name literally you cannot decide what someone else gender is it's 2026 for fuck's sake

Little disappointed in ANN's headline here. Tsuda's point was still made, and Japan has now made it very clear that actor's voices do, in fact, belong to them. www.theguardian.com/technology/2...

Goggles4u does weird provider things so it might also not be the optimal dollars to glasses value depending on the pair. But it's in the running. lots of good promos all over the good sites.

I think that LensAlter also has some super cute stuff going on. ZeeLool and Firmoo also have some incredible value.

Polarized? Photochromic? anti-glare? Yeah, all standard stuff you can buy. You aren't being done any favors. Investigate your options.

"My frames are flex titanium, and my lenses are solid diamond. That justifies the cost." Okay but ask yourself. "Why?" What are you doing with your face that warrants making glasses out of tank metals? you can buy literally 100 pairs for the price of the one that you're so afraid of breaking.

Wobbly "Cheap Date" Python @wobblypython.northsky.social · 18h

You might be thinking "I get my glasses for hundreds of dollars! They must be better quality than these $7 frames" I'm sorry, but you are being taken for an absolute fool by a literal monopoly. www.wmpeyewear.com/blogs/blog/w... Your need to see is being exploited by capitalism.

I haven't ordered anything from them yet but www.glassesshop.com and www.zeelool.com are both on my radar as affordable options as well. I'm aware of WarbyParker and WMP but they're both close to $100 minimum for a pair rather than $7 to $20 or so, and I don't feel the need to explore that space.

Wobbly "Cheap Date" Python @wobblypython.northsky.social · 18h

My current ranking for glasses websites I have personally ordered from is: Wherelight.com : Affordable, very interesting frames. Zennioptical.com : Gold standard, inexpensive, reliable Goggles4u.com : profoundly practical, solid promotional pricings.

I took a night walk. I failed to take a picture of it, but while skulking through the spotlights of a local strip mall I happened upon a propped door and chanced a look inside. It was a darkened Jiu Jitsu dojo! I realized this was a trap. The master would clearly confront me deeper within.

I'm slowly developing the character backstory and inane behavioral quirks of a character straight out of a Jurassic Park sequel.

"What even broke on my last pair like this?" Remembering I got the other kind with the ankle support. It looks like these detail sections were steadily tearing off, but I'm also realizing they are nearly entirely superficial save for the eyelets in the NorthEast part of frame there.
