Black lives still matter. White supremacy is mortal sin. Trans people exist. Everyone has the right to a nationality. Human beings have a right to migrate. She / they pronouns. Bisexual. Made in G-d's image.

Rape as a tool of political violence was the natural escalation point to allowing an adjudicated rapist to become President. I think I'll just start shrieking at the top of my lungs at anyone who tells me I'm overreacting from this point forward. No words, just the feral sound of unbridled rage.

Cannot emphasize enough that the morass we find ourselves in everywhere is a result of this commitment to white supremacy. The eugenic health policy, the belief and desire for US autarky, meddling & murder in Latin America, the half-cocked belief that the US could bully Iran- it really is.

This should be so obvious that it doesn’t need to be said, but given what kind of weekend it’s been on here, apparently it does: If you don’t want old rapists running the world, in office, in the board room, making decisions for all of us get comfortable with “ruining” young rapists’ lives

Anyway the idea of a soldier killing an armed civilian on US soil by shooting them in the back is the type of incident that would’ve launched an entire paramilitary movement on the right just as recently as two years ago.

When I talk about abolition & someone says a version of "what about the rapists?" I share info this piece from @interruptcrim.bsky.social. Police don't keep us safe from rape. Police don't solve rape cases-even when we identify our rapists. static1.squarespace.com/static/5ee39...

The way the Cornell victim is being publicly disbelieved by a lot of journalists, officials, and online posters is also a warning shot to every other victim not to dare to actually pursue a case against your rapist lest you suffer the same fate. It’s a means of protecting the status quo

This is why when people try to frame abolition as a movement to let people rape with impunity I have a hard time taking them seriously, shows a total lack of understanding around who’s organizing and what they police are actually doing.

And here’s the thing: that policy, and policies like it, were *always also* going to lead to bad economic outcomes as well. Because targeting a bunch of people because of an arbitrary characteristic is always going to be disruptive to a healthy and productive society.

i worry that men think being A Good Guy is dramatically and heroically intervening on behalf of an endangered woman and then being publicly rewarded on a grand scale when actually being A Good Guy is just usually saying, “hey man that’s not funny” or “wow that’s fucked up” and there is no reward
