After the digital sculpt was complete, I cut it into parts to fit my printers. Done in zbrush. The head was split into 12 main parts, which were bolted together. Gaps between parts filled. The cuts were made to follow the outline of the scales to reduce visibility of the seams.

Completed print ready for support removal

Pieces after joining and cleaning up seams

Parts of the mandible being bolted together

The final assembly from behind after being bolted and seamed

ofc! morpho has multiple series of art refs for stuff like musculature, hands and feet, faces and so on, they're worth it if you ever get your hands on a copy!

as for clothing, what i often wind up doing is searching for what i have in mind via online clothing shops, so men's big & tall sections might have what you need? clothing store models tend to be my go-to for seeing how it all lays correctly on a persons body djhfhhf

progress! the blanket pattern has me do a join-as-you-go method of putting all the little squares together, and i had to pause a bit to wait for some hook grips so i don't wreck my wrist. i also took a brief diversion to throw together a sleeping mask with this cotton/acrylic blend dk weight yarn

Avali time again! Commission for @seffless.bsky.social of their lil dude ✨️

A feathered, dinosaur-like creature with four, long ears and green-and-yellow feathers is displayed several times. In one image, they are cooking, tossing food in a pan a bit too large for their size. Another image shows them snoozing flat on the ground. A third image shows them rocking out and dancing to music. The last image shows them yawning hard, rows of razor-sharp teeth on display.

This week on #RunawaytotheStars: A tapetum lucidum is a kind of mirror. Catch up: runawaytothestars.com Read ahead: patreon.com/jayrockin

Talita finishes packing the cart in the puddle of light by the apartment building's front entrance, then is startled by a movement to her left. Emerging from the darkness between the two buildings are four large shadows, with 7 eerie eyes flashing the artificial light back towards her. It's Verengt and 3 other centaurs, all barely visible silhouettes. One of them points their trunk to the matriarch and whispers something, causing them to take notice of Talita. Talita looks back at them, apprehensive. Her own pupils reflect the light too, the uneven angle causing one to glow, and the other to mostly remain dark. Verengt walks toward Talita out of the darkness, their body gaining detail as they slowly become illuminated by the door lights.

Verengt approaches Talita, who is hunched fearfully over the cart. Verengt: Talita. Good evening. Talita straightens up and nervously touches her neck. Verengt's trunk points up in a loose curl. Talita: H- hi Verengt! I need to apologize for earlier, I– Verengt: No, we should apologize. I believe we misinterpreted you. Do you speak human language with your face, as well as your trunk? They gesture with an open palm over their own face.

Talita: Oh! …Yes, I do! Verengt: Showing teeth means something very different to them, doesn't it? Talita: Humans pull their lips up and bare their teeth to show they're happy or friendly. She points at her face and pulls her lips back into a quick smile that mostly shows gums. Talita: I've lived with them so long that I do it habitually. Verengt: I see. I usually look for a trunk curl... They lift their trunk upwards in a relaxed curl. Verengt: Do humans not know what this means? Talita returns the curl, with a small closed-lip smile. Talita: No, they usually don’t. Verengt looks off thoughtfully. Verengt: They always seem so unfriendly to me, with their flat nose and teeth flashing as they speak. But I suppose that's just how they're built…

GOOD NEWS! Researchers have shown Alzheimer’s disease can be REVERSED- not just prevented. Using a potent neuroprotective compound called P7C3-A20, they found RESTORING balance to a central cellular energy molecule (NAD+) not only PREVENTED disease features but REVERSED them, EVEN at late stages.

happy tiger mug tuesday

Photo of handmade ceramic tiger mug. It is red-orange with black stripes. The handle of the mug is the tail, and the bottom of the mug is the face. On the other side of where the handle is, there are four feet so the mug can stand up sideways.

Frontal view of the tiger's face on the bottom of the mug. It's happy and smiling

Three-quarter view of the mug sitting like how a regular mug would. The four paws are in front. There are red pawprints painted on each one. We can see some of the tail in the back.

View with the tail on the left side, and the feet on the right side.

Hen and Wren. Ink and gouache on Fabriano Medioevalis, approximately 95 × 64 mm.

Drawing in black ink, primarily in silhouette, of a hen and a Wren regarding each other quizzically. The hen stands in a patch of wild grasses whilst the wren perches on a small, leafless shrub in front of her. The hen's comb and wattle are the only touch of red gouache. The drawing is finely wrought and intricate. The piece is roughly the size of a business card.
