The number of separatists in Alberta is very small, but every single one of them will vote in the separation referendum. It’s critical that everyone who doesn’t want separation votes as well, or else this could easily be Canada’s own Brexit moment. Don’t assume anything. Vote.

The Phantom of Heilbronn, also referred to as the Woman Without a Face, was a presumed female serial killer whose existence was inferred from DNA evidence found at 40 crime scenes across Austria, France and Germany from 1993 to 2009.

In March 2009, investigators concluded that the supposed serial killer did not exist, and the DNA belonged to a woman who worked at a factory that made the cotton swabs used for collecting DNA samples

It looks like a futuristic sci-fi city (and has been used as a set for same), but it is not: just buildings constructed with a very naturalistic sensibility, like the skeleton of a whale with curving branching pillars splayed to the sides and a curved open vault over some greenery to the left. Everything is white, set off against a pale blue pool in between the two arcades and the crisp blue sky. Marvelous from every angle.
