Literally that yes. It was someone who vibecoded an alert in Streamlabs via their custom HTML/CSS/JS feature. Even worse, someone literally warned them about it and their stupid robot argued with them.

It's only a problem if you use a browser source that does something with unsanitized chat messages which is a completely amateur mistake. If you're using widgets from one of the major alert platforms without any custom code in them, you're almost certainly fine.

Don't get me wrong, it's bad that it can be escalated via CEF (and OBS 33.0 is already slated to update CEF to a newer version that is not susceptible to this) but the moral of the story is STILL don't put vibe coded slop or websites you don't trust into your browser sources.

First pass of the plugin manager was in 32.2 last year and supported enable/disable from in OBS. It got a face lift for 33.0 with a TON of backend cleanup and structural work by finite for the next steps.
