DHS says it is upgrading its ground control station to allow one team to control multiple MQ-9As (Predator style drones) at once in a new document www.dhs.gov/sites/defaul...
CONTINUED DEVELOPMENT
Ongoing engineering efforts focus on integrating modern
satellite networks for operational use and upgraded sensor
payloads for maritime ISR. These enhancements expand
operational flight coverage, increase signal bandwidth, and
reduce signal latency. The Ground Control Station is being
upgraded to allow one operational team to simultaneously
control multiple UAS. Integrating these technologies on the Big
Wing MQ-9A highlights American leadership in UAS
innovation, furthers the DHS mission, and strengthens
awareness and dominance in the border space.
