We’ve always known, but now it’s confirmed, that Danielle Smith’s separatist friends, including a sitting UCP president, have been conspiring to hand over Alberta’s land, oil and water to Donald Trump. Albertans deserve better than this weak leadership that hurts us all. tgam.ca/3Txh5Gt

89% of SBE NSF grants were never awarded!! My field (Cognitive Neuroscience) is included in this gutting, as are so many others. Plenty of horror stories in the same space are also coming from NIH. It’s not just delaying research; it’s labs shutting down and a next gen that won’t be trained.

A big clap for Manchester
And last and definitely least, Manchester officially has the highest STI rate of any university town, according to new research. Adult brand Erobella found that, in 2025, Manchester was venereal valedictorian with 924 new diagnoses of STIs per 100,000 residents, more than twice the national average. Curiously, towns with Russell Group universities had 32% more instances of STI diagnosis than towns without them — making the argument for more polytechnics and less polyamory.
