TSA just got my husband’s very nice knife because for some reason it was in my backpack. I have 4 flights before I get back so checking is not an option. The sympathetic officer let me photograph it before he tossed it so I could look up the model and replace it. But the AI will not help me 🙃

My dad became a doctor in the '50s. When I was a teen, 'pro-lifers' leafleted me. So I asked him about abortions. He told me that anyone who had ever treated a woman with a septic uterus after a backstreet abortion would never be in any doubt about the importance of safe, legal abortion.

I agree fully with @bearlypolitics.co.uk I closed my 50,000 follower account on Twitter shortly after Musk took over and it turned into a cesspit joining @bsky.app shortly after it started. It was a hard decision because of the community I left behind but it was the right one.
