Did BA have another crew preplaced or did you end up hearing a boarding announcement from Imperious & Posh when you got onboard?

A week and a half ago there was a small crash between a bus and (I think) a semi trailer. Half the bus concertina, ripped open and rippled. For the last week a piece has been sitting on the side of the highway. Naturally hoarder instincts told me to grab it. Formed in a fraction of a second.
A piece of aluminium with some green paint, bent and rippled as the result of the side of a bus being torn open in a crash on the Mitchell Highway on August 31. This sign is a great example for helping to explain why chatbots present such a potent illusion. A probably not short thread 🧵>>
Photo of a sign with a doorbell attached. The printed sign reads:

CURRENT GUGGENHEIM ACCES BY HUSKY CARD ONLY
[Logos for Amazon, FedEx, UPS]
DELIVERIES/VISITORS
PLEASE RING THIS DOORBELL

Delivery hours M-F 9:00am-(obscured)
University of Washington

Taped next to the doorbell is a hand written note that reads:
yes! it rang! Pelase wait 30 seconds before pressing again.
thanks!

100%. in 2022, the Cloud Appreciation Society (a real thing) hired me (flight, accommodation, meals & stipend) as AiR for 2 weeks at Blachford Lake, NWT. Over that time I did an introduction to oils class for 84 of the 92 people who were there for aurora watching. It was wonderful

AltText added: “Pure Dead Gaming: The results of the video I posted earlier was this iconic shot Danny León and his crew smashed it.”
…
…
Crap that’s amazing
Oh right, the AltText;
Truly phenomenal shot showing a full solar eclipse on the horizon with the edge of the sun just bursting out from the upper right hand corner over the darkened moon
In front of the sun, a skateboard ramp has been set up and hovering in mid air is a skateboarder in silhouette wreathed in dust giving the illusion of a flaming aura as it is illuminated by the sunlight streaming around the moon, the dust leading up from the ramp and surrounding the skateboarder
A shot captured from a live action

+1 on possible targeting. Maybe an SMS/email gateway ended up in your contact info someone shared? These look like 0123456789@vtext.com (for Verizon). If someone with your number fwd'd a contact card that only showed 'email' they would've accidentally leaked the number. The GWs are gone/going away.

Endometriosis takes nine years to diagnose. That’s about to change. NICE has approved two tests: a saliva test reading microRNA markers, and a gut-sensor test returning results in 45 minutes, sparing women the keyhole surgery currently needed. buff.ly/QX3jHk8 #ShareGoodNewsToo

Some units even have fresh air sliders to allow some outside air in intentionally. The drain pan is another connected space inside to out. You could open the unit and try to add some screening but you would have to clean it regularly! Or the U-shape (sometimes slim) ones have less passthrough area.

Recent status: watching someone that works at Zoom take a past due security training about not taking meetings in public spaces while he was on a train going between Copenhagen and Stockholm. He completed his training then had a sales meeting about volume discounts.
A photo of a Dell laptop screen taken between two train seats. The screen has a training video with the text "You never know who's sitting next to you" showing on it. The picture taker is sitting behind the person taking the training, so it's OK.

How are they even getting to a CAP here? Are they saying the law of large numbers means the student population's ability should resemble a bell curve when evaluated? Assume that's true, what's the mean and variance of that bell curve and why must it be adjusted so A is the upper 20%?

I'm striking out; a round brooch base could maybe get DIY'ed into a version of the clip you posted with a round attachment such that it could swivel but I couldn't find anything in the findings catalog had nearby.
A photo of six alligator clip style barettes with cupped round metal pieces attached to the larger piece of the clip. They are arranged in 2 rows going diagonally from upper left to lower right.

Reminds me of jewelry or soldering 3rd hands but those don't often have detent. There are also flexible arms like QuadHands and knockoffs but that's totally dependent on a magnetic base setup.

A wholesome story for nerds: On Saturday, I was signing books at a local bookstore for Independent Bookstore Day. The store had a signing-palooza with new authors every hour; toward the end of my hour, a woman came up and asked what my book was about. "Dictionaries," I said, and she lit up. 1/n
