Calling the residents a mob and threatening to arrest their elected reps is definitely going to make things better. Especially when the basis for the claim that it's a criminal offence for residents to go outside to object may well be wrong.

My son's girlfriend lives in the heart of the Glenanne murder triangle. Tonight I had to have a conversation with him about being careful on that road if things kick off. I am so so fucking angry that I had to do that. How dare these people unleash more trauma and fear on us.

Police in full riot gear are now exiting Land Rovers, so I assume a forced removal is about to happen. The PSNI triggered a mutual aid protocol earlier this week, and obtained 200 additional officers from Police Scotland. What they’re facing are regular civilians peacefully standing on a road.
