We're all cloud fans here, and theres nothing better than staring at satellite images of the clouds blanketing the country. But sometimes something stares back at you...
A quasi quasimodo looking face in the clouds, with a speckled nose and a vaugely excited expressionA face in the clouds with long flame-like eyes, and an expression that lies somewhere between rage and that feeling when your friend just made a really bad jokeA face in the clouds, with the look of someone who doesnt quite understand whats going on but is just happy to be hereA face in the clouds, looking like an alien that is just slightly too friendly and doesnt realise yet.

I am having way too much fun reading the comments section of the scathing reviews on AppleRankings.com
Screenshot of two beefing commenters:
The Fang says "How do you run a whole website about apples and not know that this is a cider apple." (Link to Wikipedia article on cider apples).
And The Incisor replies "The point of this website is to rank the experience of eating the apple, not consuming the apple’s products. Cider isn’t mentioned because it is irrelevant to the act of eating the apple as it is." (Link to Wikipedia article on intent.)

It's telling that men would rather try to invent tech to replace humans' role in caregiving than step up as equal partners in parenting. Telling, that is, in that it shows how financial capitalism and patriarchy work together to dissuade men from doing "unprofitable" labor, like the work of care.

Hello Bone Colleagues,
I have invented a new type of ankle and I'm very excited to show it to you. Early raccoon trials suggest a 60% increase in scurrying speed and dramatic increases in fine motor banditry. I know we are not supposed to create super raccoons, but I think you'll change your mind and professional ethics when you see how cute they are. I believe we are on the cusp of a new era in advanced human scurrying because if medical science has taught me anything, it's that improvements in raccoons correspond 1:1 to improvements in humans.

The things AI can be sort of useful for are also things that don’t require the level of scaling (and therefore environmental damage) we are seeing and don’t require theft (because they need bespoke data sets that are carefully created and curated). So their arguments don’t even support the premise.

After seeing Gräwe's enthusiasm for the place he had been held captive, Percival said to Gräwe that "You remind us that ... how you treat somebody defines who we are. There are times, even today, when we may want to forget that. And you let us know that's a lesson not to be forgotten" (Bernton).
