In order to get the CO2 emissions of 1 l gasoline back, you have to filter at least 4M-5M liter atmospheric gas - for 1 l by CDR tech like DAC. The global biosphere turns over actually more than 450 GtCO2 per year back into non-gaseous carbohydrates by photosynthesis and back by degradation.

Even if we are able to capture all CO₂ emitted at point sources with CCS and scale atmospheric CO₂ removal (CDR) to billions of tonnes per year (we can't and never will), continuing to burn fossil fuels means that millions of people will continue to die from air pollution each year.

Stopping methane (emissions) is the fastest, highest-leverage climate lever. 3 panels to explain why.
1. 20% of GHG effects is caused by methan
2. Methane has a 80% higher climate effect due to its vibrations
3. Methane turns into CO2 withing 10 years, the 500 Mt yearly emitted CH4 leave 1,5 Gt of CO2 additonally into the atmosphere.
