Just call God “she” or “her” or “mother” and you will find out very quickly how many Christians refuse to see God’s image in women. As if calling God by a feminine pronoun is demeaning to God rather than naming part of who God is. This is the worship of patriarchy.

Charlotte Friends Meeting celebrates and welcomes the transgender community. Transgender people have historically and continually have faced prejudice, oppression, and silencing. We now stand in a moment where governments, faith communities and individuals are targeting transgender people with concerted efforts to constrain or eliminate their joys, livelihoods and even their lives. Those efforts and their intended outcomes are wrong and must be resisted.
Transgender people possess that of God, the Light, Spirit, which is in everyone, and deserve and require active love , support and affirmation. We acknowledge the unique witness of transgender people, who embody some of the lived testimonies and values of Friends, especially that of integrity. Integrity is acting consistently with our conscience and what we know to be true, seeking alignment between the inner self and the outer expression of that self.

Charlotte Friends Meeting rejects silence toward and complicity with any intimidation and oppression of transgender people. uhhh... I barely made it into the article cause the trump bible is literally the KJV. Because he's supported by KJV-onlyists And why would the pope use a translation from a breakaway denomination... (instead of like the jerusalem or douay-rheims bible?)
