Started up a 2e AD&D game with my regular table. I told the group "Hey there's a lot of stuff for 2e, I'm restricting you to the PHB and the Planescape Campaign box." My problem player goes "Hey can I have this spell from the complete book of necromancers?" I had never heard of the spell or book.

My 1e AD&D game ended tonight because one of my players had a tantrum when his level 1 monk that he introduced last session died. A character that had gained 0 xp, had 0 character growth, and he switched to because his legally distinct Sister of Battle was "not vibing with the party."

I think I just had a stroke. Someone who is pretty "anti-Universes Beyond" was confused about the Reality Fracture story and everything that is happening and goes "I think I suddenly understand UB, this is more convoluted than Infinite Crisis." Dog... you're not beating "magic players can't read"
