Trying to write an adventure in planescape is rough lol. Though I guess while they're still kind of stuck in Sigil it's basically an urban adventure. I need a dungeon lmao

Has anyone played Rosethorn Keep? My FLGS had it and I picked it up on a whim purely on the art.

That time someone dumped a toy house on the cemetery wall and, when I crouched a bit, some ✨ Hollywood Magic ✨ occurred.

A plastic dolls house sitting on a wall, taken from an angle which makes it look as if it might be one of the houses on the street.

I feel like I'm taking crazy pills. You've got Lebron shilling Polymarket and now you've got a player that is actively in the post season being sponsored by a betting website. This is so fucking vile and beyond the pale. www.nytimes.com/athletic/766...

Ronald Acuña Jr. partners with Kalshi, becoming first MLB star to promote prediction market (Gift Article)

Acuña is not the first athlete to partner with a prediction market, but the announcement is likely to be met with some scrutiny.

My Planescape game starts Tuesday with character creation. I'm curious what factions people choose or don't choose. Who is a prime character and who is a planar. I've got a small adventure brewing to help them figure shit out.

If I was experienced in 2e, I would be more open to such negotiations but the boundaries are just as much for me as for my players. I've run like two sessions of 2e and a handful of hours playing Baldur's Gate 1 and 2. So for the time being, I would like to keep it simple.

I then told him that it doesn't make me feel good that as soon as I set restrictions I'm asked to immediately ignore that for him. If I could get 4/5 of this group at a different table I would be so much happier but I can't...

I send the player a direct text and go "Hey I understand where you're coming from with wanting this spell, but I'm not comfortable doing that at the moment, so I'm going to say no for now." The player goes "Okay I guess I'll just abandon that idea then..." Like I set very clear boundaries!

Started up a 2e AD&D game with my regular table. I told the group "Hey there's a lot of stuff for 2e, I'm restricting you to the PHB and the Planescape Campaign box." My problem player goes "Hey can I have this spell from the complete book of necromancers?" I had never heard of the spell or book.

Putting this bookmark I got from @betterlegends.bsky.social at Gary Con this year to good use on a very obscure TTRPG I intend to play.

A bookmark that says "Leave me alone. I'm reading an obscure ttrpg that I'm never going to play." The bookmark is sitting on an open spread of the 2nd Edition Advanced Dungeons and Dragons Players Handbook, which is neither an obscure ttrpg nor one I never intend to play.

I'm reading through Planescape and "A DM's Guide to the Planes" might be one of the best things TSR ever produced. It's weird art (fuck yea DiTerlizzi art), it's partially in universe and rules text. I might try to start cooking something out there for my table of Berks.

Pete Rose got banned from baseball for betting on sports. He said in '89 he bet on football, basketball, and horse racing, yet we have an active athlete promoting gambling and betting on sports and giving his "picks." (How many people bet WAS to win today?) This is fucking insane.
