I see we're having a debate about whether it's okay to go back to "X," the site owned by a trillionaire fascist who is currently bankrolling the GOP's midterm, throttled Ukraine's war effort, and still winkingly allows vast amounts of CSAM on his service Answer: No, what the fuck is wrong with you

Actually, there is a sharp line to be drawn between science and the humanities. The difference is methodological: The “scientific method” consists of publishing papers formatted in two or more columns; whereas humanities papers are arranged in just one column.

I’m sorry to have to be the bad guy here but we need to recognize that we live in a compressed air thrusters world now. If you’re not finding ways to teach the critical use of compressed air thrusters in your classroom, you’re setting your students up to fail when you could be setting them up to fly

Merriam Webster out here fighting for its life
Merriam-Webster & @Merriam..•18h
'Goodbye' is an alteration of "God be with you."

Sean Kress• @SKress7514 • 16h
Do you have evidence to back this up? If so can you explain what "good night" , "good
morning" and "good evening" are alterations of?

Merriam-Webster & @Merriam..•15h
whatSean Kress & @SKress7514 • 14h
I was genuinely asking the question because the only thing I find on the internet is that it is basically a slur from the original.... I assumed there was a better explanation for it than that as it seems a little unlikely given the good night, good morning etc haven't been slurred into something else too. Sorry if you saw that as offensive.

Merriam-Webster @ @Merriam...•14h S
It is not related to 'good night/ day/morning.'
The 'good' in those do not come from 'God.'Sean Kress @ @SKress7514 • 14h
So the internet suggestion this it is just a slur is what you are basing that on too then?

Readers added context they thought people might want to know
Merriam-Webster's etymology follows established linguistic scholarship, not unverified internet suggestions of a "slur."
"Goodbye" is an alteration of "God be with you"; "good" in greetings like "good morning" has separate origins unrelated to "God."

Guillermo Montesinos as the driver of Mambo Taxi in "Women on the verge of a nervous breakdown"
A staged photo of Guillermo Montesinos in costume leaning casually on his taxi. He has hair dyed shining white and is wearing a yellow jacket. The doors are ajar, showing the most dementedly decorated inside of a taxi you could possibly imagine.

Seats are fake leopard skin, the steering weel cover is a matching fake snow leopard skin. Everywhere there are glossy magazines hanging by laundry clips. It has every piece of internal car decoration frippery you can possibly imagine everywhere.

🗳️ People, can you help me out with your thoughts? 🔎 A lot of you have told me that the dark speech bubbles are hard to read. 🎨 Would you prefer white font? Does this design change bother you, or would you love it? #science #psychology #neuroscience #sciart #psychscisky 🧪 #comic
Soph asks with examples of speech bubbles: Should I keep the black font in the dark speech bubbles that a lot of you find hard to read? Or should I change to white font which is easier to read but will change the style of the comic design?
