Just a couple more of these in a row and that's a pretty decent Sounders stadium right downtown 😂

Ownership says the stadium situation is untenable. The ownership situation actually feels like the lever that needs to be changed. If they can't get a deal done with better terms in Lumen, and their fallback is a small stadium in Renton, they absolutely need to sell the team.

To this point, a follow up to Hanauer should be ‘what are you asking for in a lease agreement?’

Owners should be fixated on getting back to an average of 43k per game and not moving to a small stadium that couldn’t support anything close to that.

Rest of king county now please!! We get 1-2 new fees added per year and sometimes they even try without updating the lease! Pet, amenities, utility (even though yes, we also pay for utilities), pest control. Absurd

A 40-year-old unvaccinated woman in Pennsylvania has just died from measles. There is no controversy. She needlessly died from a disease that is preventable with a vaccine. But HHS Secretary RFK Jr. thinks measles isn’t that bad. Nobody should die of measles in the United States.

SDOT's backsliding on Pike Place has a lot of us freaked out. Not just for Pike Place but for all of the pedestrianization efforts happening around the city. If @transportation.seattle.gov can backstab us on Pike, they can do it on Crockett and Barbara Bailey and Occidental and everywhere else.

Tired of hearing 'Thomas is the guy, no reason to start Frei'.. That was just awful positioning from him. Such a deflating breakdown after what should have been a goal on the other side. Just emblematic of this whole season.

I tried to find common ground with others on this panel tonight, but this is one area of fundamental disagreement. Unnecessary car traffic pushing through the Market degrades the experience for everyone else, and limits the potential to create a more welcoming street for people to shop and enjoy
lost californian driving through the middle of the market

10,000 fewer on-street car parking spaces. That's the pledge from Amsterdam's new coalition government over the next four years. While many cities still argue whether change is possible, Amsterdam is reclaiming its public realm one tree, bench, bike rack, terrace, playground, and garden at a time.

One of the reasons I wanted to move back up to the PNW is bc of how brown & smoke-ridden LA was getting each year. Then it came for the PNW, too. Growing up in Seattle, we only had a handful of 80+ days in the summer, and NEVER smoke weather. Now heatwaves and air quality alerts are a June-Oct norm.
