This station is getting negative press because the city failed to upzone around it and the biggest piece of property near it is a "public" golf course, but this is a game changer for Lake City. With protected bike lanes and sidewalks from LCW to the station, it massively increases mobility here.

As a society we hold professional sports coaches to a higher standard than we do Congressmen. We demand that coaches be available to answer questions, rarely accept “no comment” and pounce on them for mistakes. Congressmen hide from their constituents and threaten questioners with arrest.
