In one of my trawls of Revolutionary War-era stuff, I tripped over the account of a pastor who oversaw the peaceful protest against the village mayor. He made sure no one looted the mayor’s house as they disassembled it brick by brick, and then had them stack the bricks in neat piles.

For those of you with day jobs where you're forced to use LLMs or be fired, good tip I gleaned this weekend, which is to tell the LLM to stop referring to itself using "I" pronouns and to eliminate the praise and other attempts to humanize itself. You get a much cleaner interaction w/o the marketing

Windows, mirrors, and sliding glass doors have nothing to do with whether or not a character is a self-insert. It is a framework for understanding children's literature and the need for diverse works. It can be applied to adult literature as well, but only within the context of diversity.

Windows and mirrors are not in opposition to each other. Along with sliding glass doors, they offer options for children. It's a call for diverse literature, not a literacy crisis problem to be solved.
