In the novel Rosemary's Baby, Rosemary sees an issue of Time with the headline "Is God Dead?" It's a headline from real life. But I didn't know that. I thought the book had gone surreal and God had died and it was in the newspaper.

Made this to be a background painting for my comic. It looks to me like the purple of the background has different shades. It hasn't. E.g. seems darker in the top right than in the middle. An accidental optical illusion. The effect is pretty mild though, is anyone else seeing this?

Two humans with weird proportions, one wide at the bottom and narrow on top, the other the opposite. The background is abstract, purple with yellow spikes pointing at roughly the center of the image.

(1/4) One time I watched an art show on TV. They were interviewing an artist that had put dead rat babies into jars of olives. Then he’d put the jars onto shelves in grocery stores, so people accidentally bought dead rat babies. The artist was morose and unpleasant.

When you draw a comic with people with huge heads, there’s a problem with cars. Should the car be proportional to the driver’s body or head? There are 2 solutions. One is to draw the windows of the car too tall. The other, which is what I’ve mostly been doing, is have everyone drive a convertible.

Instead of numbers on licence plates there should be symbols. If you have a thousand different symbols, and 3 symbols per plate that’s a billion different plates. Spider Carrot Eyeball is a lot easier to remember than a string of numbers.

Read Antkind by Charlie Kaufman. Has approximately 100 very funny jokes. Had it been 200 pages long it would have been one of the best novels ever. But it is 700 pages and it drags.
