Your windpipe is that of Anubis, your chest is broad with gold, your breasts are two eggs of carnelian, which Horus has streaked with lapis. Your forearms glisten as glass, your shoulders are firm in their protection, your heart is gladdened every day. (BDQ)

We can learn from our queer elders 🫶🏻
bisubites 4h
when my masc lesbian aunt died, women just kept coming, screaming, crying, and saying they were her wives. Eventually we just had to start telling them to join the others. They were all devastated to learn about each other. Except for one who came in, kissed her dead mouth and showed us all that they had matching tattoos. She actually won all the mourning wives over and they all agreed she was the wife. It was so weird.Did not expect more than a few people to see this but yes it really happened, yes it was insane

Here it comes... the large coronal hole is almost directly facing Earth now, which means fast solar wind is 3-4 days away. In fact, NOAA SWPC has just issued a G1/minor storm watch for Oct 2. This means there are chances for mid-latitude auroral displays Thu and Fri nights. #heliophysics

A woman in a lavender skirt suit, holding a baby in diapers in one hand and the hand of a toddler girl in the other. This is possibly a flyer for “Take Your Daughter to Work Day” though Rose can’t be sure. Her manager Tony brought it to her and asked, Can you make something like this but not, you know, so sucky? She can. She starts by ditching the heels and the skirt suit. And the white blonde lady while she’s at it.

apartheid is not theoretical or just walls and borders, which is something I think people do struggle to understand it's taking a whole society and breaking it down into people who have freedom and people who are controlled to varying degrees in every aspect of their daily lives

Coool I'd always wanted to see the change in tree cover over time. One of my older friends says that Humboldt Park was like sherwood forest when she was a kid in the 60s, & even during my time in the neighborhood the ash tree die off really made the place look sparse.

It's very easy to wear a suit and tie in any major city, even if the aesthetic has mostly disappeared from daily life, because there are people outside wearing pink tutus with Army boots. As usual, your liberation is connected to other people's liberation.
Bobby Mars on Twitter writes: "If you wear a collared shirt and nice shoes out to the bar in the rust belt, multiple people will ask you if you just came from a wedding. Aesthetic standards for men’s attire are horrendously low"

Amazon's own balance sheet presents the most compelling evidence that we are stuck in the Enshittocene, the era in which everything is turning into a pile of shit, because the worst ideas of the worst people now make the most money. 1/
Hieronymus Bosch's 'The Conjuror,' a painting depicting a medieval con artist playing a shell game for an audience of astonished peasant rubes. The image has been altered: the conman now has Jeff Bezos's grinning head, and the mouths of all the peasants have been replaced with inverted Amazon 'Smile' logos, so they are now frowning.
