Theo @theomanic.bsky.social · 03/08/2026It’s likely because the pigments for cool toned foundation/concealer are more expensive (not expensive, but more expensive than warm toned), so most makeup, especially in the drugstore, is warm toned. As someone with vitiligo, I do indeed notice the “Ghost Piano Key” makeup is orangey. 030
Theo @theomanic.bsky.social · 03/08/2026BlueSky is genuinely so exhausting. I love y’all, but man. Take a breath and stare at some clouds. Yes, I understand how classist it is of me to imply we can all take a breath when there are people who only have polluted air to breathe, and ableist as some people are blind and can’t see the clouds… 000
Theo @theomanic.bsky.social · 03/08/2026Does BlueSky do comment sorting like TikTok, etc? Because when I clicked through, the dozen or so comments I read were all criticizing the OP, and/or very clearly anti-homophobia. Or maybe your repost and others brought a different sort of person to the comments? 120

Theo @theomanic.bsky.social · 29/05/2026You might even start to wonder if you would’ve had the same exact map of caves if you had been someone else. If you had a different gender, a different skin colour, or a multitude of different traits. Anyway, eventually you drown. But you got to see some very cool rocks on the way. 13/ 010
Theo @theomanic.bsky.social · 29/05/2026And maybe, while you’re treading water, waiting to drown, you’ll realize something: these caves don’t look natural. They’re quite artificial, actually. So choices were made about what was underwater, about what was too high to reach. 12/ 100
Theo @theomanic.bsky.social · 29/05/2026Eventually, your luck will run out. You’re going to get to a dead-end, turn around, and see that passage filled with water. Or maybe you get so tired you can’t keep climbing anymore. There was never a way out, there was only something to do in the meantime. 11/ 100
Theo @theomanic.bsky.social · 29/05/2026Additionally, you may not be physically able to take other challenging pathways now, if you’ve hurt yourself falling. All you can do is pick a new path and continue. Such is life. 10/ 100
Theo @theomanic.bsky.social · 29/05/2026And when you backtrack, you get back to junctions wherein you see what you’ve known in the back of your mind all along. The water is rising, and some of those previously accessible caves are not (to most of us) anymore. 9/ 100
Theo @theomanic.bsky.social · 29/05/2026Some of us will make that steep climb without any climbing gear! Some of us will be able to hold our breath long enough to swim through the underwater bits without an oxygen tank! But most of us will either get harmed in the process, or opt not to take the risk. 8/ 100
Theo @theomanic.bsky.social · 29/05/2026This results in a lot of backtracking, depending on what you can tolerate, what safety nets you have access to, and luck. 7/ 100
Theo @theomanic.bsky.social · 29/05/2026And of course, sometimes the caves just dead-end. Beyond all that, the caves are simply not safe. Rocks shower down from above. Now and then a boulder is dislodged and crashes down, either on you, or in your path and blocks your way. Such is life. 6/ 100
Theo @theomanic.bsky.social · 29/05/2026Some of these paths are wide and easy to climb through, but some are rough, some are very tight, some the air is foul, some angle steeply upward and would be quite hazardous to climb. Some of these paths will dip underwater for an unknown amount of time. Many paths have multiple of these hazards. 5/ 100
Theo @theomanic.bsky.social · 29/05/2026Before you are several smaller caves you can explore. You pick one and go, and eventually that typically branches out, and you pick another path. Such is life. 4/ 100
Theo @theomanic.bsky.social · 29/05/2026If you are rich, you have some climbing gear. If you’re really rich, maybe even a rebreather and a small oxygen tank. It doesn’t really occur to you that another person in this situation might not have this stuff, because why should it? 3/ 100
Theo @theomanic.bsky.social · 29/05/2026So, you wake up in a damp cave, and you don’t know how you got there. Initially you scream and cry but as you’re standing there you realize the damp ground you’ve been standing on is now a puddle. Apparently this cave is near the ocean, and the tide is coming in. 2/ 200
Theo @theomanic.bsky.social · 29/05/2026Just woke up thinking: life is like being forced into going on a cave spelunking adventure you never asked for. Let me paint you a verbal picture. 1/ 110
