The world we used to know is gone.
No one misses it.
Humans got torn to pieces, not by us wolves, but by a plague of disconnection. They destroyed their malls, their cinemas, their restaurants, their jobs, their art, their weather, and finally, their future.
They forgot each other. Little by little, they forgot themselves.
It became a world, deliberately constructed, of isolated, paranoid, violent hearts. Human life became digital—and therefore, intangible. They could hold nothing real in their hands except for the box, a box controlled by a cruel and callous few.
As humans approached their self-inflicted apocalypse, something summoned them back outside. It reconnected them to one another. Something in which neither a computer nor a billionaire had any say.
Something very, very organic…
They became us.
