There are apparently fig trees(!) in Sheffield & here's the Sheffield Tribune's explanation of how they got there: There really is no place called "Away"... everything comes from somewhere and everything goes somewhere.
"They owe their existence to Sheffielders of the past’s fondness for fig biscuits, with the seeds that passed through their digestive system finding their way to Meadowhall. There, germinated by the regular hot discharges from the area’s steel mills, they grew into the forest of urban figs you see today."

UK to open new refugee resettlement routes for Afghan women and Palestinians
Exclusive: Move by Shabana Mahmood comes after closure of Afghan scheme last year but experts say numbers too small to deter Channel crossings * UK politics live – latest updates Shabana Mahmood will announce a new legal route for refugees that prioritises Afghan women and girls and Palestinians, unfreezing a scheme that will put the most vulnerable refugees on a faster path to permanent status. The change marks a shift in Mahmood’s approach to asylum seekers after the abrupt closure of the Afghan resettlement scheme last year and changes that will keep refugee status under constant review for two decades. Disabled people in UK need right to travel abroad, say MPs, after ‘ridiculous’ restrictions

What on earth is happening?
This had become the new normal. RNLI crew members had been forced to take their permits off their cars after their tyres have been repeatedly slashed. Most of them have been pilloried at the school gates or turned away from local pubs. One man who worked in search and rescue had been beaten unconscious and hospitalised, recognised for TV interviews he had done.

ADHD is not being overdiagnosed, major Government report set to find
Hello and welcome to The Essential, where we dig deeper into today’s big stories.

How much help should someone with ADHD receive – in clinical support, employment and via social security? It’s a live debate in Whitehall, because of rising costs for the NHS and UK benefits. For some, the idea that far too many people are being diagnosed with ADHD or autism has taken root.

But what does the evidence show? A new, landmark Government review – authored by clinicians – has concluded that ADHD and autism are not widely over-diagnosed in the UK. Read our exclusive report here, which explains what the experts say ... and what they think should happen next.
