Thomas Gladwin @tegladwin.bsky.social · 04/10/2026Saw Pressure today, really glad I caught that in the cinema. Much more interesting than I'd expected and especially nice I think for anyone involved in science - it can be actually relevant! It had Fraser and Scott who were great as expected but so was the whole cast. #Pressure 000
Thomas Gladwin @tegladwin.bsky.social · 27/09/2026Saw Hope (2026) - great fun, very different, uh, wotsit, media literacy assumptions? But you easily enough tell what are supposed to be jokes even if they don't land like you expect, or if you're not 100% sure they're satirizing something, and if so what. I suspect the ending is something hilarious. 010

Thomas Gladwin @tegladwin.bsky.social · 06/09/2026Is a more systemic analysis of the "powers behind the scenes" not far more important? Massive power is held by organisations who claim to be able to distribute scarce resources for the benefit of science. Each scandal puts the lie to that, and those cut-through scandals must be tips of the iceberg. 110
