If you’re not in higher education, let me clarify that this is a five alarm fire. If this continues, it will be an unmitigated disaster for US universities. In economic terms, undergrads and masters students mostly pay full tuition that subsidizes American students.

Wow. Bukele’s approval rating has dropped to 55%, with people specifically citing the CECOT deal with the United States as a reason for disapproval. This is why I’ve said that Bukele is playing with fire with this. It’s hurting him internationally and now domestically as well.
