Politics on this place is a bit Greenskyish. Riddle me this - if at the next election, One Nation have 9 Senators and 18 Reps seats. The ALP government need either the Libs, the Greens + 2, or a box of chocolates to pass legislation. Should PHON govern from the back bench? Why the Greens now? But!..

Are they the same? CGT/Neg gearing reform? Changing the Stage 3 tax cuts to be proportional across the income spectrum instead of the top 10%? Funding the renewables transition instead of sabotaging it? Free Tafe? Bulk Billing expansion? There is no uniparty - just stuff you disagree with

Why won't the government of the day work with us - a minor party with 5% of total Federal electoral representation - to implement our specific policy agenda as if we were the government? Probably because of the other 95%. Just guessing. This is going to go well then, I see.

The change is from 30 November, so it’s not clear what ‘With no warning’ means. Only about 2% of transactions are done with the ATO by credit card. It’s not clear to me why we have public debates led by people who are determined to misinform the public.

If nothing else AI is making clear that there are people all around us for whom writing, art, and music are not communion with another mind, but just - wallpaper. Just pleasant things to look at. They think AI is conscious because they have no actual grasp of what it is to encounter another mind.
