It was a lovely service and more people were there than we expected. I had bear hugs from people he worked with and they said the nicest things. Mum coped really well and actually recognised some people including my best friend. We gave dad a good send off.

Explaining the funeral tomorrow to mum. She’s forgotten dad because he wasn’t at home for about 5 weeks before he passed. It’s their 60th wedding anniversary this week and it’s all gone because of Alzheimer’s.

I am not sure you can assess the scale of threats like this. But that he IS a powerful and highly motivated threat seems to me to be evident. And that understanding alone should be enough to prompt government action to limit the damage he can do.
