Swedish author P.C. Jersild (in his 90's) has a new book out. I just went down a rabbithole checking out some genealogy things, and I figured out that P.C. Jersild's grandfather (who emigrated from Denmark to Sweden) was a younger brother of my great-grandfather (who emigrated to the US).

Did a kind of alt-state-fair outing with a granddaughter today, before the onset of the actual Minnesota State Fair commotion. Lunch at Hot Hands Pie & Biscuit, followed by a good wander through the member biennial exhibit at the Textile Center, then ice cream cones at Cold Front. So fun.
