My mom worked hard, but sometimes she needed help to make ends meet. SNAP kept food on the table, and Medicaid paid my hospital bills when I had chronic asthma. If we had more leaders who knew what that felt like, we wouldn’t have passed Trump’s Big Ugly Bill.
