I did a bit of data analysis to inform considerations of this proposal. This is not completely simple since the number of grants a PI holds varies over time as grants start and end, and because this includes MPIs (multiple PIs) in addition to Contact PIs. 1/7

I’m being forced out of my job bc of DOGE. I’m one of two researchers funded by the NIH in 2022 to address sexual harassment. If we don’t address SH in science, we’ll continue to lose people who could have revolutionized care for cancer, diabetes, dementia, etc. But eliminating “DEI” matters more.

Lots of interesting data at the Action Collaborative meeting on sexual harassment in higher ed—these data suggest leaders have a poor insight on their own level of inclusivity. The least inclusive leaders overestimate themselves, and the most inclusive underestimate. Quelle surprise!
