That’s when I became involved in disability advocacy. I started really listening to the elders who came before me. I realized how sad it was that it had to happen to me personally before I believed what an entire group of people had been trying to tell me.

Disability and homelessness often go hand in hand. Being sick is expensive. The “crip tax” is real. Benefits force you into legislated poverty and make you give up any savings or security. People don’t want to rent to the disabled. It’s suffering as a policy choice.

there is no such thing as "age verification." All "age verification" is actually "identity verification." You can coat it in glitter and "privacy-preserving" wrapping paper. But in the end, mandating age verification means mandating surveillance be built into software and hardware. Period.

The rich kids won’t have AI in the curriculum. It’s going to be schools like my elementary school, primarily full of kids of immigrants and students, or districts in underserved rural areas or marginalized communities. Every part of this is purposeful.
